Housed in a charming cottage with a super-sized veranda, this wonderful restaurant features a coastal décor style and a quietly romantic vibe. Their clam fritters just make us happy, and their Hatteras Sunset cocktail made with Tito’s and Spiced Lemonade (house-made) tastes like a summer romance.

Ok, we are stretching the “within walking distance” rule with Café Pamlico, which is about 3 miles from our doorstep. But we promise, it is absolutely worth a visit for its romance, sunset views over the water, and live music. The vibe is sheer romance, and the food is upscale, offering dishes that will make your heart sing. We try to order something different every time we visit this special-occasion restaurant on the Pamlico Sound, but we often find ourselves returning to our old favorites. Seared NC scallops, Elk Rack Lollipops, and shrimp and grits make us smile.
