Outer Banks Halloween – Spooky and Sweet

We Love a Parade (of Costumes)
This first adventure will involve a little bit of a drive as we head to Kill Devil Hills, just 60 miles away, for a traditional Halloween parade of costumes. Held on the Saturday before the holiday (unless Halloween falls on a Saturday, and then that will be the day of the parade) at Aviation Park, the parade includes decorated vehicles on display throughout the park (great for photo ops), trick-or-treating provided by local businesses and organizations, and a short costume walk with prizes for the best costumes in a variety of categories.

Cape Hatteras is much like your hometown, and when you come into town for Halloween, trick-or-treating can be done in all the neighborhoods.
