Sometimes travelers don’t need all the space of a cottage or duplex but need more room than is available in a motel room, and when your journey brings you to Cape Hatteras, as you may expect, Lighthouse View has your back. Our oceanfront suites are larger than our motel rooms, offering space for up to 5 guests while also offering eat-in kitchens that will enable you to save a little money by eating at home. The Space You Need at a Price You Can Afford

Travel is expensive, and with the exception of camping out in the woods, and you probably think there aren’t many ways to make it less so, but Lighthouse View is about to change your perspective. Our suites, mostly located on the beach, generously sized to enable small families to stay within and not feel cramped and crowded, are also reasonably priced. And when you see all the extras offered, the costs will surely surprise you. Because we are excited to help you save even more, our oceanfront suites come with fully equipped kitchens (and yes, that includes dishwashers) as well as dining space so you don’t have to eat with your meal on your lap. Should you choose to bring your fresh cooked dinner outside, the Adirondack style chairs offer wide armrests, ideal for holding plates of food or the beverage of your choice, as are the small tables placed between the deck chairs.

Living It Up in the Living Room

Another thing that makes our Lighthouse View suites different is the separation. Just as a cottage or duplex offers open concept public spaces (living rooms, kitchens, and dining areas) and separate bedrooms and baths, so do our suites. The living room is a large room furnished with a comfortable sofa and two chairs, placed so as to enjoy views of the smart television and peeks of the ocean visible through wide windows and an open door, if you choose. A large coffee table in the middle of the room can be put to use for playing board games, card games, or simply as a spot to hold your plates if you are watching television while you eat.

The Loft Life

Not all our Cape Hatteras oceanfront suites offer a loft, but the ones that do are the ones which fit five guests comfortably, designed with two beds in the loft and one tucked away in a hallway niche. Also offering the spacious semi-private deck furnished with chairs and the small table, the open living room equipped with smart television and open access to the kitchen and dining areas, our oceanfront suites with lofts are just one more choice you can expect when choosing Lighthouse View.

Oceanfront Suite with Panel Bed Top Floor

This is our second time staying in the same suite at the LHV. There are so many bonuses to this suite and LHV, from the covered ocean side deck that seems to have a never ending breeze to get reprieve from the mid-day sun to the covered pool side facing deck that has some glorious sunsets. My favorite bonus is the staff. I never had an issue that was not taken care of IMMEDIATELY, an extra pillow here and there, or asking for a vacuum cleaner mid stay to tidy our suite. Our suite is on the top deck, yes it’s up two-ish flights, but for the views, you will only hear complaints coming from this family on the last day, as we are leaving because we have 51 weeks before we return to 638. This place is magical and family friendly on all levels.

Oceanfront Suite With Panel Bed 1st Floor

We arrived Saturday night, during heavy rain, the front desk was in constant touch with us. Everything was clean and prompt for our arrival and we directly entered our room and check in was online. We stayed in one of the renovated suite (618) corner unit, with view of the ocean in the rear and view of sound, pool in the front. Our unit had towel exchange so we were able to replace the towels whenever we felt it has to be replaced. Had an excellent stay and highly recommend this place and we are already picking our unit for our next trip.

Oceanfront Suite with Bunks Ground Floor

The check in process could not have been easier! A text was sent prior with the door code, pool code and laundry exchange information. The suite had absolutely everything we needed! We could have made full course meals, coffee everyday you name it. The location cant be beat and it was clean. An extra blanket in the closet was used all weekend since it ended up being cold and rainy. We were very comfortable there and really enjoyed our stay.

Aren’t Murphy Beds Fun?

Although we call them panel beds for our purposes, any bed that gets tucked away in a wall when not in use is a Murphy bed, and we speak from experience when we say kids are thrilled to sleep in these unique pieces of furniture! The panel bed will be located in the main living space, between the kitchen/dining area and the living room, so whoever is sleeping there can also watch television before falling into happy dreams.

Two Semi-Private Decks at Our Hatteras Island Vacation Rentals

Another difference between our Cape Hatteras oceanfront suites and our standard rooms is the two decks offered in these spaces, one at the front with access from the living room, and one in the back, right off the bedroom. During the daylight hours, you may just want to open both doors for a cooling cross breeze. Both decks are furnished, and both spaces will bring you joy as you relax and sip your favorite beverages without a care in the world.

Mostly Oceanfront

Just as with our motel rooms, a large number of our suites are oceanfront, but we do offer some Hatteras condo rentals that are poolside, if that is something that interests you. These spaces in our Hatteras Island vacation rentals will only offer one furnished deck, the one that looks out over the pool, and will be furnished with your choice of two double beds or one king bed, offering just another choice for your North Carolina accommodation needs. A three-day minimum stay is required to book our oceanfront or poolside suites.
